After 20 years casting models for Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, and fashion shows, I wanted to spend more time with my daughters. KiC is my way to share my thoughts on fashion and style. I believe style should permeate every aspect of our lives — from home, to family, to where we go, and naturally, what we wear — especially when we're just running around.

For at-home entertaining, I would have a hard time moving around in a long and very straight skirt. For me, they feel a bit dour – I wouldn’t feel happy or festive wearing either ensemble.
Been ‘lean’n’ towards this look all yr …
Not even worn a mid length skirt for what
seems like eons !
Just feels so right ….. gettin longer … x
Gorgeous……..
Love them both but would wear with a pretty flat mule for entertaining at home.
Nili Lotan is always the ultimate but I like where you’re going with this in the diy sense: any lovely slip dress under a comfy chic sweater. I agree with Katrina about the flat mule or jewelled slipper. Thanks for putting this in my brain.
Love the sweater with the silk charmeuse skirt – great combo. I’d wear either to a cocktail or dinner party, but probably not at home as I’m a very messy cook!
