Miranda Kerr
Jennifer and I both like this outfit on Miranda Kerr and the simple shopper is the clincher for me. I love the color and simplicity. Miranda’s and Gaia’s below are by Celine but there are many versions available right now. This bag is the perfect alternative to a Birkin as it is lightweight and practical (and did I mention far less expensive?). A great way to add a shot of color to a sleek day look.

The neutral bag with the patterned sweater is pretty good too.

Lately, I’ve had motorcycle jackets on the brain. And when Barneys got in a Céline version–very classic styling, but with red corduroy trim under the lapel, I knew that even though I had no business buying it, it would be become a life-long part of my closet.
A motorcycle jacket never goes out of style, but I do feel like I’m seeing a lot of them right now. And I like the way women are putting them together–not just with jeans. My goal is for mine to eventually look as worn in as the bottom picture. That is a well-loved jacket.

Louis Vuitton clutch
It is certainly still the bag of the moment. I even see women tucking bags with shoulder straps under their arm simulating the look. I have an adorable navy Celine which sits in my closet most days. And why is that?
The reality is, I am not a bag swapper. But the bigger issue is size. Obviously I cannot fit everything I think I need into a clutch so I take the essentials. However, I often find an essential missing. My wallet does not fit into my clutch and this is the most bothersome of all.
My wallet does fit into the Vuitton version above, but not much else. I can’t decide if I should try again or just buck the clutch trend and wait for the return of the BIG bag.

While in Palm Beach last week with my family enjoying the perfect weather I popped into Gypsy. I have been to the Gypsy shop on Nantucket but not the one in Palm Beach and it is a must if you are in town. Luckily, no matter where you are you can shop the store online. Continue…

I am sorry to keep going on about my search for the perfect clutch but I finally found it. Jennifer kindly took the camel and salmon one and I bought the Celine triple clutch above in black (although I swear it is navy in the sunlight). It holds everything I really need and the 3 pouches unsnap so I can carry just a single too. Truly clever.

This Celine pouch is the right idea but just not right. I love that it is soft with a simple zip top, however the color and size are problematic. Salmon? Really not sure. And as you can see, I am struggling with editing my “necessities”. tbc
