Chic this Week: London Calling

I must admit that I am a bit of an Anglophile after the royal wedding last summer and I am looking forward to the Diamond Jubilee when Elizabeth II will celebrate her 60 years on the throne. Vogue has a great post on Sally Bedell Smith’s new biography and an exhibition of photographs of the Queen by Cecil Beaton at the Victoria and Albert Museum.
Jeweler and KiC fave, Dean Harris says “to mark her 60 years on the British throne, she is putting some of the monarchy’s most important jewels on display”. Another great reason to celebrate.
‘David Hockney: A Bigger Picture’ will be on display from 21 January – 9 April 2012 and feature a large number of new paintings, many of which were created specifically for the Royal Academy’s galleries.

If you have not watched Downton Abbey, you still have time to catch up on last season before season 2 premieres January 8th.

The reviews aren’t great but I will see any film with Meryl Streep.

And the Olympics!
