The chicest sweets

Laduree macaroons

Every trip to Paris includes a stop at Laduree. I dutifully bring back boxes of the smaller macaroons for my assistants, daughters and friends. Invariably the delicate treats crush and crumble in my luggage but no one seems to care. These are the most delicious and divine macaroons and now you can get them on Madison Avenue. The pale green box filled with scrumptiously colored macaroons makes the ultimate hostess gift.

  • Yes, but the line is down Madison – honestly, it would be faster to go to Paris and back!

  • I braved the line at the new Madison Avenue outpost on Friday to send a box to my daughter at school. 30 minutes later, my mission was complete. At dinner with friends that night, I placed a box of 6 at the place setting of each lady. Utter delight!

  • When my sisters and I were in Paris, we went to Laduree everyday for lunch. We also snacked on the macaroons while we watched the Tudors in bed….
