On my bedside table
The Corner Bookstore on Madison Avenue is my favorite spot to peruse new titles; I don’t think I have ever left the shop empty handed. On Saturday I picked up The House at Belle Fontaine, Lily Tuck’s new collection of short stories. The cover alone sold me.
My neighbors’ daughter, Joanna Hershon, has a new novel, A Dual Inheritance coming out in early May. The story, which focuses on two friends who overcome their differences, has received a number of good reviews.

Thanks for the book titles. I am always eager to find a great book and happy to take your suggestions!
I go to the Corner Bookstore about once a week (my daughters’ school is on that block) – their staff has the best advice and recommendations. There are always three or four books on that front table that are worth reading – and their advice re kids’ books is spot on.
I would like to share another great read. It is called No Angels, by Penny Vincenzi. It is excellent. It is part of a trilogy. I think you might enjoy it. Shelley
Thanks for the recommendations!!! I am in 2 Book Clubs and am always looking for reads to bring back to them.
I love The Corner Bookstore as well!
