Next up, pre-fall. Pieces are slowly coming into the stores now. It’s coined the money-maker season for designers because the clothes tend to be less fashion-forward, i.e. wearable and evergreen. Here are my personal “hits” from this tiny, but mighty, season.
The cape is still a strong silhouette and the crocheted ones at Valentino are gorgeous. The Saint Laurent duffel would be perfect for running around.
The Calvin Klein Collection show was a stand-out in my book; I especially love the belting.
Black and white ruled the catwalks and I love the buttoned-up sensibility of The Row look left and Proenza Schouler right.
Four strong pants looks– Clockwise: Givenchy, Narciso Rodriguez, Celine, and Stella McCartney.
Need to be amazonian in height to carry-off the extreme layering trend this fall from Givenchy, Celine, Dries, and others.
Three sharp and wearable dresses from Thakoon, Proenza, and Narciso.
