One of these, please
Evening bags never top my list until I really need one. Then I kick myself for not having something gorgeous to stow my necessities in. Also, I have clutch-fatigue– holding a drink, phone, and bag is a juggling act. Either of these beauties would be a nice finishing touch to my (mostly) all-black holiday looks. They would be great with jeans and a sweater too, a true win win.

those initials are just TOO big. something more discreet please.
I find the initials too big and flashy as well. I love the shape of both of them, and particularly love the box chain on the LV.
I love the flashy logos as my evening looks are
all discreetly black–I need a bit of evening glam!!!
I’m with Lorraine and Kathy…bag is great…minus the initials…
Ha! So funny –
I remember you posting the LV top handle version a while back, Preston and I thought ” I don’t LOVE big logos, but what designer does not HAVE a logo?” Everyone has their trademark that makes them stand out from the crowd- how else could anyone sell their products if they didn’t have some detail that made them special? The logo on the LV is functional, just like the CC clasp of the CHANEL classic. It’s distinctive and bold. Sometimes you want a little boldness in your wardrobe!
Our cars, our make-up, our jewelry, our wines, food, watches – all have logos and labels. We choose them for their quality and design, no?
I love both bags, Preston, especially the LV one. I hope you get one of them- and then post about it!
At first the YSL was too much for me, but looking at it a few times has warmed me to it. It lends a certain design to the bag, just like the LV, independent of the name recognition factor. I like them both.
Love the bags. Very chic… perfect for a night out on the town! The black bag is the perfect compliment to my ensemble for tonight’s party. See todays post, Three is better than two: http://curatorsofstyle.com/2013/12/21/three-is-better-than-two/

The YSL bag is on sale at Bluefly!
No, the initials are too big. It’s like wearing a label on the outside of your clothes.
