Fit To Print

This is my favorite image from the January issue of American Vogue. I don’t buy a lot of prints, but when I find a pattern I like, I’ll scoop it up. The Marc by Marc Jacobs dress below may be the one I add to my wardrobe this spring.

  • Graet minds think alike! The Dolce dress in Vogue is on my list.

  • I have one print dress in my closet and it’s a Marc by Marc Jacobs. Just ordered this one, and hope I love it as much as the other one I have. I almost never like prints either. Thanks for finding this one.

  • I can’t pull it off. If you can, it’s a great look.

  • Kathy, I have 2 print dresses and my favorite is also by MbMJ. Let me know if you keep this dress.

  • I also pulled that page out for my files. I love the print dress but have never really been able to pull it off. I love the retro feel of them, but when I put them on I look either 8 years old or 80 years old. Tough call, but maybe will try it again in the spring. Which seems a very long ways away. Cheers

  • I agree with Laura. I love them, yet when I wear one I feel like I’m wearing a “house dress” from the depression era. Maybe its the type of fabric used more than the print, but on me they don’t achieve the look of elegance I want. The search continues…

  • Whoa–Liberty on acid! I love a good print but tend to wear them in very small doses–usually socks or a scarf.
