  • What was that fashion rule, if you’ve done a trend once, second time or third time around, you need to skip it? At 38 I feel I am too old and too fat to rock this look!!!

  • I’m quite a bit older than Amee, but I agree. Have you noticed that they often seem to shoot this trend from the side? For me, it’s just extra bulk, and a horizontal line where I need it least.

  • I love this look layered. Especially love it however, with a wide boxy elbow length sleeve. That’s what makes it fresh, imo.

  • I love the look. I love layering. It is such a great way to express yourself with simple pieces and the crop top is a way to do it without a lot of bulk. As usual, Preson, you are spot on!!!

  • I really have to thank you for this post. I purchased the Marni cropped sweater that is on the Net a Porter site, and now after looking at the pictures and reading the comments I must face the music, it is not for me. I’ll happily spend the money on something more flattering…at least for me.

  • The grey Marni crop top is already sold out on net a porter and no one else has one! I’ll hope for that return, Margo! In the meantime, I found a really cute, more affordable black cropped short sleeve version by Acne at saks.com.
