A Modern Classic

Hermes Kelly bag

Classic handbags stand the test of time, something that is important when I consider the price. Although I am a huge fan of Hèrmes bags and cherish my Birkin and Trims, I don’t own a Kelly. The Kelly always felt a bit too structured for my liking, I’ve always been drawn to more slouchy and stuffable styles. But last week I put the black version of this Baleciaga Le Dix Cartable M into a post and I’ve been thinking about it ever since. This color is pretty irresistable too.

  • I’ve had my eye on Le Dix, too. But it will be a while before I pull the trigger.

  • I thought exactly the same thing as you about the Kelly and changed my mind a few Kelly’s later 🙂 I checked out this bag, the dimensions are almost the same and with the strap, I would imagine it has very similar useablity. It looks lovely!

  • I prefer the soft Kelly to the Balenciaga. I have one with the original think strap and I ordered a wider fabric strap to give it a more sporty look.

  • I totally agree Preston- and the Tube top handle version is also very chic and ladylike. That color is yummy…
