N.G. + L.V.

New designer = new sensibility. The much anticipated Louis Vuitton show, now with Nicolas Ghesquière at the design helm, went out early this morning. The highlights: my fave model, Freja Beha Erichsen, opened, all the belting, the mini bags based on the L.V. trunk, and a very cool necklace.

Thank you @ericwilsonsays for the Instagram pic.

  • The jacket is quite possibly the most gorgeous article of clothing I’ve ever seen.

  • It is so sad to see such a talented and inherently discreet man in Nicholas having to resort to designing for such a vulgar, overly commercialized and ubiquitously worn brand in Louis Vuitton. LV is the antithesis of his personality. He can do so much better I believe.
