‘Kicking Back’

Bravo Grace Coddington for this story on Daria in the April issue of Vogue. The styling is spot-on; perfectly capturing the current fashion mood. This is the way I, and most of the women I know, want to dress.

  • Very clean and Celine!
I ADORE that slouchy grey double-breasted cardigan/jacket in the second photo.

  • Love the look and it is so practical
for running around town either walking or taking the subway!

  • Love it! What brand of sneakers are those?

    ChrisMarch 26th, 2014  10:57 AM

  • Love the styling, and love the look of sneakers with polished daywear. Still wondering how the look will translate into regular life – i.e. where we actually have to tie our laces 🙂 I don’t want to look like a Working Girl throwback.

  • LOVE IT !
Relaxed yet polished. Can easily be translated using lots of existing pieces most of us have in our wardrobes- I’m inspired.

  • Love, love, love the pairing of comfy casual shoes with these classic pieces. Great!

    Lauren@StyleseerMarch 26th, 2014  11:51 AM

  • Any idea who the sweater is by?

  • In between edits of work documents, I’ve also spent the morning trying to figure out which sneakers those are… Can’t find the article on the Vogue site, however did find the rest of the photo shoot – the other looks not included here are great too! Love the oxfords and masculine pants with the tank from another shot (although, I’d have to make it office appropriate by adding a jacket, blouse or cardigan).

Any idea on the kicks? I’m pretty close to getting the leather Jack Purcells, but would love to try on these!

  • I love the look, but great attention needs to be given to the shoes. The live between stylish and therapeutic could easily be crossed. The young models aren’t at risk for this, but those of us on the other side of 50 certainly are!

    AprilMarch 26th, 2014  2:20 PM

  • The kicks look like YSLs.

    ameeMarch 26th, 2014  2:40 PM

  • The wide leg grey pants with the serrated edge are simply dreamy. Thanks, Preston!

    CatherineMarch 26th, 2014  3:13 PM

  • the sneakers are Michael Kors. you can see the brand on the tongue, zoom in and the Michael part is readable.

  • There is nothing in this post I wouldn’t love to own. Great, effortless style.

    MargoMarch 26th, 2014  9:24 PM

  • Fantastic, easy clothes – love the styling. Does anyone know if the sneakers are available yet, and where?

    KathyMarch 27th, 2014  7:18 AM

  • That third look is right up my alley. And I always love Daria- I’ll have to pick this up to see the rest!

    EmilyMarch 27th, 2014  2:07 PM

  • Love it all! Very wearable. Thank you.

    pindaMarch 27th, 2014  10:00 PM

  • The sneakers are Michael Kors and the sweater is Nina Ricci
