It Item

I know that Stan Smiths are all-the-rage, and I waited too long on the Saint Laurent’s, but these classic tennis sneakers by Common Projects have caught my eye. All white leather upper; they are calling my name.

Actually, of all the white sneakers you’ve mentioned, these are my favorite. I like that they are super clean and not so identifiable. Now I’m considering them too…
These and the Saint Laurent version are both great – but at $70, the Stan Smith version cannot be beat. Shouldn’t a trainer really be a genuine athletic shoe versus a designer version of one? I think what makes this trend work is the mix of high low. And as much as I love the look of Chuck Taylor’s, I have never found canvas sneakers to be very practical. The Stan Smith are a true classic and totally functional.
