Eponymous Co-Founders

Claudia Overstrom & Betsy Pitts

Eponymous New York

The hobo is currently my favorite bag shape and Eponymous has a really good one. The Eponymous line of handbags is designed by co-founders Claudia Overstrom and Betsy Pitts. Made in Italy out of top-quality leathers, it’s no surprise that so many of my friends have been carrying them since they debuted in 2012. An Anna Hobo in chocolate and black is super chic and tops my fall wish list.

With 5 children between them and their growing business, this post was a great way to catch up with my busy friends! Eponymous NYC Run around uniform:

Betsy- I live in black pants, black leather sweaters and boots.

Claudia- Sadly, often times I’m in workout attire for far too long on any given day!  For basic wear in the winter, jeans with a sweater or with a great top and jacket.  When I have to pull myself together a bit more, I almost always opt for a dress – so easy!  I wear a lot of black and browns during the winter, so I try to avoid darker tones in the summer – especially outside of NYC!  Navy works year round though.  The summer is all about shorts or white pants with a cute top and easy dresses.  Flats and wedges are a must all summer – it’s so annoying to dig one’s heel out of the grass.

Three beauty musts:

Betsy- Hydration, sleep and exercise! I love Dr Haushka skin products and have just discovered Tracie Martyn serums that nearly work miracles. Deborah Lippman nail polish is truly the best. My mother always said that the most important thing to wear to look beautiful is a smile.  Corny but true.

Claudia- Chanel Twinkle lip gloss, Prescriptives concealer (yes, they still make it!), and Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder.

A perfect day:

Betsy- Spent with my wonderful husband, three daughters, and friends.

Claudia- Any day when I’m with my children and my husband all day long.

Dream destination:

Betsy- We just got back from a trip to the Amangiri on the Utah/Arizona border. We were reminded that you don’t  have to leave the U.S for spectacular scenery and adventure.  We have so much right here.

Claudia- My bed before 10pm

Latest obsession:

Betsy- Net-a-Porter is like crack, I might need to be cut off…

Claudia-  Any juice with kale and ginger in it!

  • Thanks again for introducing me to another great line, I checked out their site and the bags look great and I LOVE the pumps Claudia is wearing.

  • Love all of their bags. Finding the Eponymous Clutch is my go-to for evenings out. Can switch the panels so it always looks fresh. kk

  • Love the brown/black hobo – as I rarely change bags (except seasonly), so it’s sort of perfect for Fall.

  • Hi Claudia:

Looking fabulous as always……I have been thinking of you lately as I have been trying to find a bag that I like to use a lot….I hate changing bags……but alas can’t find something inexpensive, chic and practical…..I may design one and send you a picture…….love to Gunnar, (2) and Taylor…..Bette
