Ashlee Glazer

Ashlee Glazer Need makeup for a big event? We did, and thankfully the folks at Vera Wang recommended Ashlee Glazer. Ashlee came to our hotel prior to both balls and worked her magic. Not only was the makeup perfection but, Ashlee was adorable and fun and full of great tips. Next up, I’m hiring her to help me with an easy, “no makeup'” look for everyday. Untitled-112 Ashlee’s Go-To Products:

Madina HighlightA product from Italy that’s a fashion week favorite. The perfect champagne gold/silver cream highlighting stick. A dab on the bridge of the nose, cheekbones, and cupids bow gives the perfect glow.

Clairins Beauty-Flash BalmLifts, tightens, and smoothes pores. Great way to look fresh, fast.

MAC Viva Glam V LipstickThe best neutral for all skin tones. It’s that trustworthy color you can apply without looking in the mirror. And, 100% of the selling price goes to those affected with HIV/AIDS– I love to get clients hooked, and I give it as gifts.

YSL Touche Éclat: Brightens and highlights– makes everyone look fresh and well rested.

Best Makeup Tip: When applying blush and bronzer, I like do to a light dusting at the hairline, under the nose, and jawline. This sculpts and frames the face,  bringing more attention to the eyes.

Most Common Mistake Women Make: Staying within their comfort zone– trying something new every now and then keeps it fresh!

  • Your lucky being in NYC where there are makeup artists, as opposed to sales people, who may be skilled in makeup application, but stay within one product line. I would love to have a session with someone knowledgeable in many lines, who could pick and choose among the various products and customize an everyday, no makeup look for me and my daughters.

  • Ashlee is the absolute best!!

  • Where under the nose do you apply bronzer? Above the lips? Curious to try this.

    CarolJanuary 13th, 2015  11:30 PM

  • At the risk of sounding like a know it all , I don’t find any of her tips anything more that insightful. While YSL had the first pen, the product no longer is not the best out there for coverage or reflection.
By under the nose, she probably meant the tip to contour it as many celebrites do.

  • Touche Éclat is not the best pen. It barely covers darkness and not a very good highligt. Feels outdated. I would say (and Lisalisad1, makeup guru on youtube) that Maybellines Dream Lumi Touch Concealer pen is the best. I love Mac “Viva Glam V” and when you feel like wearing the matte “Kylie Jenner lip” to go for Mac’s lipstick “Taupe”.

  • Preston, I’m hoping you will circle back to the no-makeup look… would love to learn the technique and elements for “women no longer in our 20’s”. Thanks!
