It Item

All Wrapped Up, Cont.

Miu MiuThese Miu Miu gladiators may be the ones. I love the espadrille sole and the price is more in line with what I want to pay for a super trendy item—a win-win.

  • Just one minute ago saw these on NAP, and came to your blog to see if you’d already seen them. I like these much better than the Valentino’s or Chloe’s. Incredibly cool.

  • I love the look of the wrapped gladiator, and have been drooling over the Valentino ones for some time. These are obviously more casual with the espadrille base, and one would have to be careful not to channel a Game of Thrones character when wearing! Thus, the Valentino, albeit the high price point might be a better choice for me! However, I have serious reservations in making the plunge: they appear to be time consuming to get on and off, and also, I can see having some very interesting tan lines after wearing out and about on a sunny day. Are these ridiculous reasons to hesitate?

  • Love them!

  • I love the look, but it is a bit of a fantasy/romantic shoe. When I try them on my very fit but 45 year old knees , I think the worst part of my leg is highlighted. I will choose a sandal that laces up, but stops just above my ankles.

  • I approve! They’re great.

  • Wow, I can’t even count the ways this look is not for me! But, I think on the right person it could be amazing! More power to those who can. I like the gladiator look, but am with Tori on it ending at the ankles.

  • These are way too much work, I barely had the patience to put one on…

  • I prefer gladiators that have a zip up strap at the back, like the Laurence Dacade pair I have from summer 2013. Or ankle ties. Otherwise I think the ties would start to slip as you walk which would be really annoying!
