  • The trouser length you selected really suits them.

  • Ive tried to love them, even the pair with the gorgeous bell but I just don’t like the shape. Such a shame

    GiuliaMarch 30th, 2015  11:51 AM

  • You look so lovely- chic and put together.

I want to love them but as yet my eye hasn’t adjusted- I still love Lanvin flats.

Please ( if you don’t mind sharing)let us know what else you are wearing- love the total look.

  • I love the bag and the coat you are wearing. Can you please post the names/links for those items ? I am a big fan of your site !

    SarahMarch 30th, 2015  12:09 PM

  • I’m wearing Frame black jeans that I shorten to above the ankle (my signature length), a Gloverall duffel coat (I’ve had them forever), and a Celine hobo with a Givenchy Pandora messenger strap—my uniform.

  • A mail order/online company in the UK – – has done a similar sort of flat in a range of colours. I’d quite like a pair but personally, I think they look better with a cropped wide leg/ culotte shape. And I mostly wear slim legs. Can’t wait until we’re all out of duffel coats and into light jackets btw! x

  • They look lovely on you. they looked ridiculous on my size 9 feet, a cross between point shoes and galoshes. Sticking with Lanvin and Chanel (j.crew for rainy days)

  • Love them on you so much! I’m tempted to leave the studio and drive into Beverly Hills. So jealous that you’re at BG’s. You look absolutely adorable. xo

  • I was focused on your Celine hobo worn as a cross body. I can’t believe I didn’t realize the strap can be converted (though I see now that you used a different strap) and immediately tried it out on mine (it works, I’m short!). The downside of not having a store at home (San Francisco) and having to order it by phone.

  • They look really cool on you ! Love how original they look, like real ballet flats 🙂

    CarolineMarch 31st, 2015  8:14 AM

  • Obsessed with the bag!!!

    TraceyMarch 31st, 2015  8:24 AM

  • Ariana, I’m in SF too and you can find Celine at Barneys and Saks. The selection is quite good and they take orders for anything they don’t have in stock.

  • I have an embarrassing number of Céline hobos—they are the perfect bag both on my shoulder and crossbody.

    PrestonMarch 31st, 2015  9:45 AM

  • You look so very very lovely–the bag, flats and the coat, just perfect!! Please post more selfies they really are the best part of keep-it-chic. It helps so much to see how runway looks translate for real life. I’m really into investment shopping and I love each item your wearing. The shoes are beautiful and really update the classic coat.

  • I so second that BMA !
Many years ago Australian Vogue featured an occasional small add/mag on real life sylish women wearing real life clothes….I still miss it. Preston , you are the arbiter of chic like so many of our favourite style bloggers and I think it is great when we see you shot in real life mode….

  • BMA & Deb,
You are very sweet, but I’m just not a style blogger, partly because I don’t want my age, height, coloring, etc. to define the site. I think of KiC as my scrapbook/inspiration board that I share with all of you. However, I am trying to post more snaps that I take while roaming around.

    PrestonMarch 31st, 2015  4:52 PM

  • Preston, is your black hobo the small or large size?

    StephanieMarch 31st, 2015  11:46 PM

  • Just to add my two cents worth….one of the reasons I love your blog is the fact that you don’t post that many selfies, but focus on what inspires you whether it be people, clothes, art, objects, places or things to do. Having said that, I do love that photo of you because it is a rare sighting and you look so stylish.
I am another vote for Lanvin flats those Celine ballet flats look a bit scary 🙂

  • It’s fun to see an occasional selfie, but I do like that your blog is more about your eye than your persona, so to speak. That said, you look great and I really like the higher vamp with the cropped length. But bare ankles are still too chilly for me! I admire your fortitude!

    joannawnycApril 1st, 2015  8:34 AM

  • Absolutely love, love those Ballet flats, trust Celine to make a classic even chicer! But your Celine Hobo bag is so stunning, love that it can be worn on the shoulder or hobo style.
