The Bangles
When I was growing up, we had a place on St. Croix. Back then, my sisters and I all wore a hook bracelet that was made exclusively on the island. So, you can imagine my delight when I passed the Georg Jensen shop on Madison last week and there, in the window, was a version of our Caribbean bangle.
I snapped the below pic and sent it to my sister (the professor) and she bought one. I love the rose gold, but not sure I want diamonds. I have been craving silver, lately…

great nostalgic blast from the past Preston. thanks for sharing
LOVE! Especially the rose gold with diamonds.
It reminds me of a Tiffany’s silver with gold accents one that I wore in high school too. I was always fond of it!!! Looks great layered too.
I, too, had the St. Croix version in a few different styles and wore them stacked for many years. My favorite was the one which looked like a horseshoe. They were all silver with a small amount of gold ‘wrapped’ trim. I like this ‘less refined’ version and wonder if they are still made in St. Croix?
I, too, wore the Tiffany version all through college. Pretty sure I still have it. I am going to look for it!
very classic looking! I like them w/o diamonds as well!
Hi Preston,
I am so grateful that you were willing to walk back to the Georg Jensen store (in the snow) to take more pics of the bracelets. I’ve stacked mine with my two Cape Cod silver/gold bracelets and they are now my second skin.
As always, you know what’s right.
They’re beautiful. I also prefer without the diamonds and think the silver one is perfect.
Absolutely love the look…minimal, simple and so elegant!
