A Slip Top & Slacks
This is my favorite look from the Louis Vuitton cruise 2016 collection—the slip top layered over a blouse and ‘slacks’ are items I’ve been considering.

So cool and effortless (seeming)!
I think it’s a great look if you’re small chested and one that would look matronly if you weren’t?
I would be interested to see the hem length you would choose for these, Preston?
I love this look, maybe except from the shoes; But the mix is really interesting, I love the top !

I love the slip top, as it seems to have some real structure to it and would be endlessly versatile.
I say this and it’s interesting to me, so I hope I can articulate my thoughts well enough: I used to completely agree with Kathy regarding the “chest issue”, being a fairly well endowed woman of a certain age, but I now find that the more I disregard these rules, the more modern I feel, and thus I look. It takes some confidence in your own choices, but that’s one of the rewards maturity brings. Some days you want jeans and a tshirt, and some days you want a wicked slip over a zippered blouse.
I agree with Sue on the “chest issue”. I think it is just a reality of a mature woman’s body if she is well endowed. Why she is deemed “matronly” and a woman of the same age who is small chested isn’t, doesn’t make sense. No matter what your size, after a certain age they just ain’t perky any more! I like the look for the summer especially, polished without the constraints of a jacket. I don’t think the shoes would be my choice, but I like the slip top “vest” look.
I only mentioned it because it would change the silhouette a lot, nothing to do with age at all. But I may be very wrong and it might look great?
Yikes! I don’t see anything chic happening in this photo. The sleeve length, the hem length both appear sloppy and as though she can’t afford tailoring. The blouse appears too large in the neck. For me, this all lacks polish.
I love this look as well! I’m starting to really love that yellow/mustard colour but it’s always a risk with pale skin! http://milkandvelvet.com/
