‘Studio Sessions’
Just when I was trying to wrap my head around the fact that pre-fall pieces are hitting the stores, I was offered this stunning story from the upcoming WSJ. Magazine. Ludivine Poiblanc styled these beautiful images by photographer Lachlan Bailey. Even though summer hasn’t even begun, these pictures make me want to start a fall wish list, stat.
I’m inspired by the hair, it’s perfection. And Ludivine Poiblanc, an enormous talent, tops my must-profile list. Her styling, especially here, gives me hope that fashion is finally moving forward. Gone are the literal retro looks and super-sized pieces that swallow the wearer whole—this story may be a nod to the ’70s but, it still feels modern.
The June issue of WSJ. Magazine will be on newsstands May 30 and this story will be online May 21.

Who makes the shoe/booties in the first and third pics? Love the block heel! I’m hoping that trend sticks around.
The boots are Céline.
Positively lovely! Hair and makeup reminds seem a more relaxed version of Kate Middleton . . . who I think is lovely.
Pre-fall is my favorite season to shop, love the Celine booties.

Another vote for the booties! Please put them in your shop, Preston, when they are available.
Gorgeous pictures! I love the hair and makeup. So chic and sophisticated.
I am in agreement with others…must have those booties! Celine does it again.
I am obsessed with the picture of the white jacket with black detailing and high collar shirt.
Do you know whete the jacket is from?
Masha
The jacket and blouse are both Chanel.
Makes me long a bit for days gone by when I wore my hair that way. I was so critical of every little unruly wave back then though. How silly I was. Absolutely love the black and white jumpsuit with the high collar white top! I’m not a candidate for it, but it is fabulous. The green booties are also fabulous.
