The Block-Heel

I’m a huge block-heel fan and it’s still a big trend for fall. These Prada Mary-Janes are great.

  • I love these Mary-Janes, and am a big block heel fan as well. Looking for a pair of boots with a heel just like those.

  • In an uncharacteristically impulsive moment, I purchased a Gucci block heel sandal in a just-right blue in the early 90’s. I believe it was when Tom Ford joined the house-maybe his first or second year? It is as perfect today as it was then, and among the shoes I can still wear. About the same year, I purchased the stacked heel ‘Gucci loafer’ in black suede. It is about the most fabulous shoe ever made. Although it no longer fits. But it’s a keeper . . .

  • I’m not normally a big fan of block heeled shoes, but these Prada are perfect : not very serious but chic at the same time !

  • I have a few pairs of block heels from the 90’s mainly from Prada and they are some of my favorites. These are wonderful but they look a bit long. Maybe not for my size 40-41 foot!

  • Crazy in Love. Prada shoes are so well made too.

  • Great shoe! What I really like about it (aside from its practicality) is that it is so well-proportioned: the length of the toe section balances the heel block. And that double buckle just transports me straight back to my (70s) childhood. Come to think of it, I think I’ve owned these shoes before, just in a much smaller size….
