On My Mind

New Year’s Eve

And, here we are–the end of the holidays yet, the beginning of a new year. I’m not a big New Year’s Eve reveler, I prefer to be home with extended family playing games. Trivial Pursuit is our board game of choice and we’ve had the same, original edition since it’s inception.  Always boys against girls and the competition gets heated. No one goes to bed until a team has won—the perfect evening in my book.

I’m heading out at the crack of dawn tomorrow on an insane three day road trip with my sister. Since service may be dodgy at times, I want to be sure to wish all of you a happy and healthy New Year!

  • We always did the same! Stayed in with the kids, board games or Scrabble, watched old slides, ate chili and chocolate chip cookies. If we had a good snowfall, we went out to shovel and enjoy it, shovel neighbors out, etc. Preston: A very Happy New Year to you and yours and also to your lovely readers!

  • We went out to dinner with friends on NYE and I much preferred the following evening when we all stayed in playing Monopoly.
