‘Day Dreams’

2015 was an amazing year for my wardrobe; I filled all the holes, and then some. After numerous seasons hunting for the same few items, I finally found the perfect coat, bags, and pumps. This is good because, as I look at the SS16 offerings, the fashion sands seem to have shifted away from my comfort zone. This isn’t necessarily bad, it just means that I will be shopping for pieces that are more fashion-forward; pieces that will add a bit of zing to my closet (and hopefully won’t make my husband snicker).

This story by Craig McDean is from the February issue of W.

  • I don’t know what to do about SS16. It’s so far out of my wheelhouse. I’ll be keen to see what you pick up.

  • Beautiful basics will always be available and I never seem to have enough. Pieces from The Row, Brunello Cucinelli, Celine, always seem to inspire me and I never find them too trendy. I never veer too far from my comfort zone! And I always fall in love with pieces you recommend, so, we will see what the new year brings!

  • So far there’s nothing on my wish list. Weird.

  • Beautiful story, and I, for one, can’t wait for 2016, as I am looking forward to going a little out of my comfort zone 🙂

  • What inspires me is fashion photography like this, models and photographer in exquisite synergy. It makes my pulse quicken! That’ll surely make your husband, and mine too, snicker.
