On My Mind

Well-Suited

Some of my favorite FW15 looks were by Prada. The trim suit silhouettes, especially, inspired me to pull out a Prada double-breasted, black jacket that I wear with black pants. I think this outfit is my backlash to all the oversized knits (Snuggie style) from recent years. It’s nice, at times, to feel a bit more buttoned-up and polished.

Next up, I have my eye on the Chanel Pre-Fall jacket and skirt. I’d wear the jacket forever.

  • I agree! I was just thinking about the very fitted Mugler suits I used to wear in the 1990s. I felt my absolute best in them – pulled together, polished, powerful.

  • When I was an interior designer I wore pantsuits almost daily. Such an easy way to feel and look pulled together. I love them, but no real place in my life for them now. But still love a good jacket/blazer.
