One of my all-time favorite photographers, Sally Mann, photographed in her studio in Lexington, Virginia by Annie Leibovitz. The image is part of a traveling exhibition of Leibovitz’s recent photographs entitled “Women: New Portraits”, which opens in San Francisco later this week.

I love Sally Mann’s work, and this portrait of her is fabulous. I think she’s quite chic in her work clothes.
Funny coincidence – I’m presently reading her book: Hold Still.
That would have been good for my book post.
This is lovely, I will look out for the exhibition (hope it comes to London).
I love Sally Mann — she spoke at the Museum of Fine Arts Houston recently and despite the large hall there was an overflow crowd with people sitting on the auditorium stairs to see her. Her talk (and work) was brilliant.
