Pre-Fall 2016 Campaign

The New Céline Bag

Moments after Céline released the Pre-Fall images, the campaign dropped. This bag, tucked up under the arm (and here), has my name on it.

  • It’s gorgeous and the leather looks so soft and yummy.

  • This look is exactly what happens to me when I try to wear some shoulder bags crossbody. It looks awkward but worse, it feels awkward because I can’t get anything out of the bag without taking the bag entirely off. Maybe it’s not as bad if one is flat chested but as cute as this bag is, this look is not one I’m going to purposefully adopt.

  • I’m all about those earrings.

  • I agree with Yeng — such a bag position is just not practical. I appreciate how the design and placement of this bag lets it become part of the silhouette, and on the right body, this profile could be wonderfully modern. But I don’t think I would like to have my phone, lipstick, water bottle, etc. so securely tucked in place. Or maybe like so many New York women, I carry too much stuff!

  • I adore Celine, but this bag worn like this just doesn’t work. It looks silly and contrived and how the heck is it practical? It looks uncomfortable, too.

  • Why does a campaign drop quickly? Is it a problem with the product or the story/photography? I must admit, nothing about this photo appeals to me–I regret to say, to me, the model looks un-well, health-wise.

  • Dropped, as in launched.

  • Thank you – I misunderstood – I thought the campaign was scratched.
