‘Dior Is Expected to Name Maria Grazia Chiuri as Artistic Director’

The NYT’s reported earlier today that Maria Grazia Chiuri, the Valentino co-creative director, is heading to Dior. She will be the house’s first female leader. Stunning news in my book; very exciting, too.

  • Hope this is true! Loved Raf, wasn’t convinced by Sarah Burton or Jonathan Saunders, or any of the others. Love what she has done as Valentino.

  • Stunning is also the word I used when I heard this. I suppose I thought they were a true team….the way musicians only make a certain sound together. If she/they are ready to break up the band though, very exciting for everyone.

  • Dior has been underwhelming for so long. The House has such a rich heritage and deserves a talent like Ms. Chiuri, who can restore this French house to her former glory.
