Let’s Go (to) London!

London calling—this is a great time to cross the pond, so I asked Tablet Hotels to put together an enticing collage of London hotels. If the weakening pound isn’t enough of an incentive, Wimbledon starts today—let’s go!

  • I’d love to hear your follow up on a trip to Scotland you posted last year. We’re heading there (and northern England) this summer and would love any recommendations on must see/do.

  • We postponed to 2017. We are going with my sister and her family and this summer she is riding her bike across the U.S. and is currently in the middle of Montana… So, you’ll have to share your must-visit places, first!

  • I just spent 5 days at the Covent Garden Hotel. It was the most beautiful hotel experience of my life. Stunning rooms, amazing location, fabulous staff.

  • Leaving London today. Claridges is the best. Also stayed at One Aldwych was a nice less expensive option with a fantastic afternoon tea. If in London don’t miss the outside pavilion installation at the serpentine gallery. Also went to Edinburgh and the Balmoral Hotel is fantastic. Edinburgh is a wonderful city with so much to do.

  • Once again my daughter catches a lucky break. She’s headed to England this week as part of a trip we paid for, but told her she had to earn the spending money for. It seems her meager earnings may actually be enough! What a mess this whole situation is causing. The one silver lining is the purchasing power of the dollar.
