What's New
Le Labo is a wonderful product. I became familiar with them for the first time at Chateau Frontenac in Quebec City a few years ago. Le Labo makes all of their bath products. Beautiful and subtle scents!
Oh that size looks perfect for travel and to pop in a clutch at night. I always keep the Chanel purse size fragrances in my day bag. I’m also in love with the modern scents of Breydo. I adore Inflorescence and my new version is La Tulipe it is fresh and I can smell the freesias. Winter for drama I love Geurlains Jardin de Bagatelle as it reminds me of my Mother.
Byredo also makes some lovely scents that aren’t so mainstream that you “smell yourself” everywhere, and they offer their fragrances in similar convenient travel sizes. Gypsy Water has become one of my favorites!
I used to wear Le Labo Santal 33. Loved it I think? Just clicked on your link and got it in the perfume oil, which I’ve heard is really nice – softer.
Rose 31 is favorite! Want to try the Noir 29.
I agree with Byredo. While at NM, the SA suggested it: Love at first smell. My favorite for spring and summer is Bal D’Afrique. I will try the Gypsy Water next.
I like Le Labo Vanille 44 Paris but it only last about 1 or 2 hours. You can this one on at Barney’s.
Santal 33 for 3 years now. I get stoped by strangers to admire.
Love it … after 30 years I found my go to
Obsessed with Le Labo. They recently opened a boutique in Boston on Newbury. My favorite candle is Pin 16, which is also the scent for Menton, the deliciously chic French restaurant by Barbara Lynch. I’m also addicted to the Ambrette lotion- nutty, gin infused deliciousness! Have fun choosing, Preston!
I also love Le Labo and use Rose 31 and Santal 33. I find the names a tad misleading though so it’s a good idea to sniff all at Barneys or discover through the LA based LuckyScent bar. They offer online discovery of everything to do with scent and mail samples of almost every perfume imaginable. My latest obsession from them is by the parfumerie Francis Kurkdjian. My first stop on a trip to LA would be at the LuckyScent bar.
I can’t believe no one has mentioned Le Labo Jasmin 17 yet. It’s a beautiful true jasmin scent that doesn’t over power and is perfect for fall/winter. I highly recommend it.
LeLabo is my favorite perfume house. I wear Santal 33 in the cooler months and Bergamot 22 all summer. I’ve even mixed these two lately using a very light hand. Their scents are complex and thereby offer a unique take on the notes they capture. However, I like wearing a scent that is not widely worn or known and I now feel I need to expand my scent wardrobe. As much as I love Santal 33, it’s becoming too popular. For spring and certain occasions I wear Inflorance by Byredo too and love it.
My husband loves the Rose 31 (also because of a visit to Le Frontenac), and Jasmin 19 is my favorite. The Noir smells like Coke or Pepsi. I’ve been tempted to try the on-location versions, but they’re too expensive to buy un-sniffed in person. Oud is kind of sexy. The Neroli is okay when you want to smell inoffensive and soapy (like a parent-teacher visit).
second the Jasmin 17, it’s really good
The Jasmin is amazing, wearing it now! Also love Santal 33.
They came today and I started with Santal- lovely.
