Real Run-Around

A cardigan is my current go-to item, it’s the ultimate layering piece. I keep a basketful by my desk, they’re perfect for working at home or tucked under a parka– a real workhorse in my wardrobe this winter. My favorites are fisherman knit hand-me-downs from my mother, but this cardigan from H&M looks cozy, too.

  • I live in Eric Bompard classic cashmere cardigans at home over the winter. Just so easy – and these are the best. Beautiful colours too if you could be tempted out of neutrals……

  • Agreed! I used to be a huge fan of J.Crew cashmere in all forms, but the last time I ordered a couple of sweaters from them I felt like the quality wasn’t there. Both were the same size, yet sizing was off on both and the wool wasn’t as nice. Anyone have any brands they love and are consistent?

  • My preferred at home warm-up is a down vest or fur gilet……so cozy!

  • My preference go to wear for cosy cardigans are the Scandinavian brands such as other stories, cos and weekday. Good quality, wash well and at a affordable price.

  • I live in knits during the winter months. Of the many brands I have, my absolute favorite is a cardigan by Wayne. I purchased it at Barneys on impulse a few years ago while I was in NY. It has held up beautifully and the cut was and still is, stylish.

  • I love cozy sweaters! I have a number of vintage hand knit scandavian sweaters, as well as other oversized ones that I have had for quite a few years. The lovely thing is that sweaters never go out of style.
By the way, I have purchased cashmere from Saks, Autum Cashmere and am considering trying Everlane. I agree that J Crew quality has gone way way down.
