Street Style

Photographer Sandra Semburg

Paris and Berlin-based photographer Sandra Semburg shoots the street style pics for Vogue Paris and they are simply the best. Ms. Semburg always photographs the chicest show-goers and captures the details that I find so inspiring. Maybe it’s a woman thing…

I was heading out to a get a hair cut when I spotted this picture–I canceled the appointment.

  • I agree, I love that classic look!
I recently had several inches cut and now regret it. I am in my 40s and had the thought that perhaps I couldn’t pull it off anymore. Dark hair doesn’t age as well as blond hair, in my opinion.

  • I was going to get my haircut also but after seeing Julianne Moore at the Calvin show, I decided against it.

  • Such a classic look- l loved my long hair-and now it’s in a 60’s diagonal bob I love that too…. but the upkeep and hair salon visits……

  • Why can’t hair length be the same as heel height? Whatever makes you feel and look good…work it!!!

  • I have long hair in length and color to the photo and am in my 50s. At my last hair appointment, I was planning to cut it shorter but my hairdresser said no! I’m glad he did.

  • I did go for the big chop a few years ago and am growing it out. It’s at a really awkward stage and this photo is great inspiration for me to ride it out!

  • Preston, what brand is her bag ?

    GabrielaFebruary 14th, 2017  10:39 AM

  • Gabriela- It’s a J.W. Anderson “Pierce” bag

  • I cut my hair short about 5 years ago, and am happy with the decision. I alternated between long and short for decades. It has been an evolution, however, because I was concerned about it being too severe looking. I have gotten to a look that is short, but has the “look” of length which satisfies me at this point. I agree, there are no rules.

  • In Indian cultures, the older you are the longer your hair! I am in my 40s and have ‘bra strap’ length hair. That’s as long as it gets with getting too thin.

  • Thank you for introducing me to an inspiring photographer of whom I was previously unaware. I have been finding the street photography, and show goers in general, uninspiring these days. But the focus on details and classic choices are right on target.
