Dior FW17 Collection

Rhapsody In Blue

Navy may have been a bit one-note in Maria Grazia Chiuri’s FW17 collection for Dior, but that’s okay by me. Please, take a minute and review the entire collection on Vogue.

  • Browsed Dior at NM in Chicago last week and saw at least five pieces which I loved. After so many years of confusion and irrelevance, the House of Dior might actually be restored. The dark blue is tres chic – Vive le France!

  • Oh my goodness, this is the best! In addition to what you have posted, I have tagged 9 (nine!) looks that win the day! This is oh soooo French – in its most modern and classic interpretation. Fainting!

  • I am going to be SO BROKE next fall- I wanted nearly everything. Those shades of blue were dreamy- and CHANEL and Armani’s blues are hard to beat.

What a stunning collection! Dior was so smart to hire such a enormously talented and soulful designer. Although she’s more than that….she’s an artist.

  • I love dark blue and these pieces are exquisite! And, they look like potential forever pieces to boot.

  • Perfection!

  • I really like how the dress is accompanied with the shoes-lovely.
The culottes and jacket look good too. The small (? leather ) chokers seem to lift and modernise the look- ( in my view!)

  • This is perfection!! I disagree with Sarah Mower’s take that the line was young and too focused on millennials. I would wear almost every piece and I am far from being a millennial:)

  • What a beautiful collection! So many looks I would love to have (and would really wear). Good thing navy is my favorite (clothing) color.

  • Fantastic! I love how wearable it all seems! Beautiful!

  • I reviewed the collection on Vogue’s website. It’s almost all extremely wearable. I’m more of a fan of navy in the summer and black/grey in the winter, but many of the pieces appear seasonless. I love the leather beret too.

  • Love every single piece here.

  • All beautiful and and it’s a particularly special shade a navy, that I love. As an artist I’ve been trying to sort of figure it out, and I think (although it doesn’t look apparent) there’s a touch of a sort of teal in it, that gives it a lot of life.

  • Always looking for fabulous clothing in navy as it is my favorite, but so hard to find in fashion. Thank you for showing what is available.

  • These are beautiful clothes.

  • I love all this midnight blue (and the denim)
