Joe’s Film on Azzedine Alaia

I stumbled upon fashion stylist Joe McKenna’s documentary on Tunisian-born French designer Azzedine Alaia on Instagram–it’s a must-see. The New York Times spoke with Joe about what inspired him to make the film.

  • I could watch him for days…always loved his clothes. I spent time in the cutting and sewing room where my grandmother worked, with women from all over the world…I was reminded of them when I watched him cutting and folding. Loved the interviews and I love watching him with his doggie.. my goodness is he huge!! Thanks for making my afternoon!!
