  • I’m becoming as equally obsessed with blue shirts as I am with white. There are so many good ones out right now, I’m stocking up. Love your picks, as always.

  • So crisp and appealing! J. Crew also does a nice light blue ‘tuxedo shirt’ (their Thomas Moser line), and my daughter chose a wonderful light blue shirt from Madewell this Spring.

  • absolutely! I always have a light-blue button down from Brooks Brothers in my A/W wardrobe. In fact, I wore my last one out; it literally developed fraying at the elbows and I was back at the store for a replacement within one day.

For S/S I have a blousy blue and white striped shirt that I buy faithfully every spring from the Gap. By the end of each summer, I’ve worn through that year’s version and I feel an underlying anxiety that they won’t bring it back next year. Hmmm.. maybe I should buy a “safety” while they’re still in store!

  • Interesting- yes I’ve found myself drawn to blue of late after feeling depressed with my black based wardrobe!
I also took inspiration from one of your old posts concerning a favourite restaurant which featured some blue panelling- the colour is being painted as I write this!
    A Very nice selection here!

  • Nik,
If you get a chance can you please post the links to your Gap and Brooks Brothers shirts. I am always looking for the perfect shirt white and blue.
Paula I just ordered the J Crew Tuxedo one. Thank you for the tip. I am usually wary of J Crew’s quality so i hope this one is a winner.

  • Correcting myself – J Crew’s better shirting line is Thomas Mason, not Moser. Thomas Moser is a Shaker furniture designer. : ))) It’s stylish, too!!
