Enchanted: Sofia Coppola’s Captivating World

Sofia Coppola graces the cover of the upcoming WSJ. Magazine (on newsstands June 3) and the accompanying interview is a must-read. The filmmaker and “elegant, low-key” style icon talks about her new film The Beguiled and the state of indie films today, motherhood, and her interest in fashion.

  • I don’t know if I’ve ever seen her look so elegant and “high fashion”!

  • I am such an admirer of her work and style, and was beside myself with glee when I first heard about The Beguiled. Her films, although sometimes very ornate in visual style, always have a hushed quality. They make me feel as if I’m peering through a keyhole into another world.

  • She is such an icon and a true heroine. So proud of her win at Cannes as well!
