“A 70s Summer In the Hamptons”

In the summer of 1972, artist Jonas Mekas was hired by Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis to teach her children photography and filmmaking. The resulting pictures, taken at the Warhol estate in Montauk, N.Y., which Lee Radziwill rented for the season, captured “languid summer days in the Hamptons.” An exhibition of Mr. Merkas’ photographs from this period just opened at the Boo-Hooray Summer Rental Gallery in Montauk.
