Harper's Bazaar Australia

Cut Short

With all the mid-calf and ankle-grazing silhouettes these days, the mini looks fresh to my eye. A few inches above the knee is good. Love these Pamela Hanson pictures in the August issue of Harper’s Bazaar Australia.

  • I’ve so enjoyed keeping my knees covered – this looks so pretty and fresh on her, but it won’t work on me anymore. Time marches on!

  • I think it’s great that there’s no skirt length that’s an absolute. As Tori said, it looks great on the model, and on many others, and I’m glad that I can wear other lengths. I’m grateful for the freedom in fashion now.

  • I’d love that tunic dress over slim cropped trousers!

Regarding length in general, I’m glad there’s a variety to suit personal preferences. For a long time, it seemed there were only knee length and shorter. The last few seasons though, designers have given us a wider range of options, from maxi to mini, that all look good.

  • Great post, thanks.
Not sure if you are aware of this, but for last few weeks or so your site is not opening properly on my phone – it was perfect before. Wondering if others are having the same issue? Thanks.

  • I absolutely adore the second look. Especially the shoes 😉
