FW17 Campaign

Bottega Veneta at Lee House 2

Tomas Maier is a huge architecture fan and chose Lee House 2 for the Bottega Veneta FW17 campaign location. Built in 1956 by famed architect John Black Lee who is often referred to as the sixth of the famous “Harvard five” architects, which included Philip Johnson, John M. Johansen, Marcel Breuer, Landis Gores, and Eliot Noyes. Lee House 2 was restored in the nineties by famed architect Toshiko Mori followed by a final restoration in 2010 by Kengo Kuma. Maier said to Keep it Chic “I love architecture, which is why we always shoot our campaigns in world-renowned buildings. Since Spring/Summer 2017 was shot in a Paul Rudolph house in an urban setting, we had to find a structure that would match that level, and I knew Lee House 2 would deliver. The fact that it snowed gave the models, the clothing and the architecture an additional dimension.”

“Mixed Messages”, the first video for the house in a series entitled “The Art of Collaboration”, stars Mariacarla Boscono, Eva Herzigova, and Grace Chen and is filmed at Lee House 2.

  • Artfully done! Watching it reminded me what an effective backdrop winter provides, too.
