‘The Forever House’

Marina Rust’s 1816 Georgian brick home in Charlottesville, Virginia is profiled in August Vogue and it’s lovely. The charming guest house above was once the summer kitchen—perfection.

  • Beautiful. I am Virginia girl, and Charlottesville is a town that captures everything wonderful about the Commonwealth. My Boys had annual trips for hockey and I always volunteered to go…sadly they just tore down the rink. It makes me want to go find a retreat there. Thanks for the sneak peek.

  • This is exactly why my husband and I moved to Charlottesville 3 years ago from Miami Beach.
    Paradise found.

  • Virginia has much to be said for it; however, I’m underwhelmed with the home and have to wonder if it would even be featured were it not owned by a NY socialite and (former) Vogue contributor. IMHO, Vogue could stand to expand it’s sphere ~
