Hostess Gifts

Never Arrive Empty Handed

Summer may be winding down, but I still have a bunch of fun events on my calendar. GOOP has a ton of great hostess gifts—I may have to give myself the glasses caddy, certainly beats a tray.

  • I have to bring supplies for Manhattans, including the glasses, to our pre-eclipse party, which involves a road trip. I sure could have used this caddie to transport the glasses!

  • Love that caddy. I’ve also seen it used as a centerpiece with either glasses filled with flowers, or small terra cotta pots with plants. Good napkins too…look soft.

  • Hi Preston, I only glimpse at a couple of blogs regularly and it’s GOOP and yours. I realize you request no preachy comments about furs, but noticed the post about the Prada coat. As a fan from the SF area, furs are not prevalent here. The weather is different, of course, but I do think it is more tied to the Bay Area attitude. There is a great article in National Geographic, “Why fur is back in fashion,” and it’s an interesting article about mink farmers raising their animals more humanely, a movement much like grass fed/pasture raised food. I do have to say, however, as I get older along with the SF influence, I really have begun to care where my food and clothes come from, and am starting to think Stella McCartney might be ahead of us all.
