  • Gave the hem of a few jeans and denim shorts a DIY cut this season to modernize their look.

  • Love this image! The hems are nice but I don’t think they are as umpiirtwnt to the image as the polished look of the sweaters and shoes!

  • So cute! And perfect for this weather.

  • Here is a tip from my dry cleaner: fray the hems and then run a double line of stitching right above. You get a modern look but jeans do not unravel and don’t look too sloppy.

  • I agree with Paula B and like seeing this IRL. I’ve been afraid the frayed hem could look a little country bumpkin but these looks are great!

  • I concur with Jennifer’s thoughts- a country bumpkin possibility-I suspect it depends on how much style you have to carry it off……

  • I get nervous about light and frayed denim, and it has the risk of looking terrible if done wrong. I like how they’re keeping it chic and simple letting the fray be that extra touch.

  • These women look fabulous! Loving the higher waist and shorter hem!

  • At the beginning of the summer, I tried a pair of white jeans with frayed hems and back they went. I just didn’t feel pulled together. I do love the higher waist and shorter, slightly flared hem though. I also like that even though the wash of these jeans.

  • Love this picture. They both look great, in a casual but sophisticated 90s way (makes me think of old photos of CBK) and I’m still on the hunt for some perfect Levis.
