‘What Lies Beneath’

A dress over trousers is one of my favorite looks and according to T Magazine it’s “the season’s sharpest silhouette.” Monochrome is the way to go in my book. This is a Louis Vuitton top over an Hermès dress and trousers—so chic.

  • Love this look. Easy to adapt using existing items in your wardrobe also. Modern and crisp..

  • This is beautiful. But couldn’t it get rather bulky and warm?

  • Have been experimenting with this combo for few months, love the silhouette and the creative possibilities.

  • like SueM, I’ve also been experimenting, but instead with longer button front dresses. I layer them over another dress if it’s a little too tight for the office, and then also with a shirt tucked into slacks or jeans. You can wear them completely open, or buttoned at the chest, with a belt at the waist.
