Bar Soap

I’m a huge bar soap fan—it’s great for traveling and no bottle ends up in a landfill. The secret is to buy good looking dishes. I even use a bar soap facial cleanser so I was thrilled when I spied this Christophe Robin shampoo bar—I can’t wait to try it.

  • Great for travel

  • Funny you should say that – I just bought bar soaps for my showers as a way to avoid estrogens in plastic bottles. I also bought a great bar conditioner (and stick sunscreen) when I went on safari – it fit in my carry-on and made my hair feel great. Bars forever!

  • I am with you on mostly using soap bars rather than liquid wash. I use Clinique soap for the face which annoyingly comes with a plastic soap dish in the UK.

  • I love bar soaps, too, and if you can get them unwrapped or in recyclable paper or cardboard, even better!

  • Funny but I just recently discovered how convenient bar soaps are for travel – no more worries about spills in the luggage. What bar soap facial cleanser do you use? Can you report back on how you like the bar soap shampoo? Thanks.

  • Would love to know what you think. I love his Cleansing Milk w/ Blueberry…great for dry hair. Heard the scalp scrub was also good.

  • I use Cetaphil and the bar is so easy.
