Bottega Veneta FW18 Show

BV x NY

To celebrate Bottega Veneta’s 50th anniversary and the opening of the BV Maison at 740 Madison, Tomas Maier held the FW18 men’s and women’s collections in New York at the American Stock Exchange last night, and it was just what NYFW needed. The spectacular set, with a working fireplace and mid-century Italian pieces mixed with Bottega Veneta furniture, was used for the after-party where guests mingled with the models and could see the gorgeous clothes up close.

  • Can’t wait to see the Maison!

  • As you know, I don’t pay much attention to who heads design houses, but Thomas Maier has really catapulted Bottega Veneta (which seemed to me like a sort of bland) to a whole different level. I love everything about it.

  • Sounds like an outstanding event and venue!! Noticed some beautiful pieces in this collection, but I didn’t feel it was Maier’s best. It seemed heavy on ‘costumes’ suited for runway but not realistic outside of NY fashion circles. Hoping I’m wrong?? Anxious to take a closer look.
