Toteme Pre-Fall

Going Grey

The summer sales are in full swing and I’ve cherry picked a few items. Now, I’m thinking about Pre-Fall, which will be available in June—it’s the best season for staples and forever pieces. These looks from Toteme are not only timeless and a good price point, they are exactly what I need.

  • This gave me a flashback and I fell down the rabbit hole that is Farfetch vintage. Do love the colour.

  • I don’t often see many pant/trouser looks for day time that make sense for me. But these are fabulous! Love the relaxed and polished attitude.

  • Yay for pre-fall!

As we begin to assemble our shopping lists, perhaps it’s time for refresher on your shopping rules. I’m trying follow your advice to buy duplicates of core pieces, but find myself surprised by what I end up loving and wearing to death. For example, I bought a pair of navy trousers as an accent (I mostly wear black and grey, so navy was a “pop of colour” for me) and then proceeded to wear them to death. At the time of purchase I would have never have anticipated wearing them multiple times per week for months on end, yet I now bitterly regret not having bought a second pair. Do you ever find yourself surprised by what ends up in constant rotation?

  • I love Nik’s question because I too find myself occasionally surprised by what works and what doesn’t. Sometimes I feel like it’s a matter of asking yourself the right questions before you purchase, but other times it seems like a fluke! Would love to hear what Preston and others have to say on this subject.
