Books

Both of these books are in my cart and I need to pull the trigger on them. I’m especially eager to read Amanda Brooks’s “Farm From Home“—her new shop in the Cotswolds, Cutter Brooks, looks amazing. And India Hicks has enviable style so I’m sure “A Slice of England” is a visual treat.
What's New
Belted leather biker jacket
Triple Francois 18kt gold vermeil earrings
Jimmy Leather Puffer Jacket
Le 57 quilted leather shoulder bag
Blade velvet slingback pumps
Logo-embellished leather loafers
Crocheted Cotton-Blend Midi Skirt
Delcie tie-detailed ramie midi dress
Gate knotted leather slippers
Postcard fringed crocheted straw bucket hat
Santos de Cartier metal shield sunglasses
I just purchased both, they are stunning in both content and design. They are great reminders to slow down and focus on the best things: family, food, and fun (and foliage and fashion too)!
India Hicks was the featured luncheon speaker at an art and antiques show I attended a few years back. She was a delight and I felt a kinship with her based on her view of what makes for a well lived life. A natural beauty herself, her slide show was a visual treat of homes, table tops, and family life. But the slides of the many gorgeous royal invitations she has received over the years were worth the price of admission.! I loved that she valued the Old World craft and beauty of these and thought to include them in her slide show – a gorgeous peek at personal monograms, family crests, fonts, calligraphy, ink, etc. Can’t wait to see her book.
Starting Amanda’s now but India’s was chocked full of her typical amusing stories and so many fun ideas to unpack. Probably one of my most favorite home books. Enjoy!!
I am almost finished with Amanda’s book. I’ve enjoyed every page and photograph! Off to buy India’s book!
One of my greatest Instagram joys is following Amanda Brooks, I am definitely buying her book. Funny, I still associate India more with Caribbean life and forget her roots so will have to check hers as well, thanks!
