Racquet Magazine
Knowing that I love both tennis and indie magazines, a reader (thank you, Justine!) introduced me to Racquet, a dream mashup. With Wimbledon midway through the first rounds, this is the perfect time to post on the new quarterly magazine that the Racquet co-founders claim “celebrates the art, ideas, style and culture that surround tennis. We fondly remember the swashbuckling sport of the tennis boom of the 1970s and ’80s, and our goal is to help restore some of that swagger to today’s game.”
The Racquet store has most of the 6 issues in stock along with fab tees and prints. Also, after a little searching, I found mixes that my fave Texas-based music blog Gorilla vs. Bear created to commemorate the release of each issue—now, that’s a cool collaboration.
I got the most info on the Racquet founders here.

What's New
This is fabulous! The magazine and the music blog.
My dream is to go to every Grand Slam. So far, it is several times to the Australian Open which is a wonderful tournament and if I don’t make it to the others that will be ok.
I have not forgotten your instruction/recommendation to eat lobster roll at the Us Open.
In the meantime, I am trying to stay awake during the night to watch Wimbledon.
Good luck Roger but my heart does belong to Rafa.
Love the covers!
Fantastic!
Just getting back into tennis after many years off. These covers are framable – so cool!
