It’s The Little Things

What are the small necessities you can’t live without? I have reading glasses everywhere, lip balms too. I apply the Aerin Rose Lip Conditioner before I go to sleep and it’s still on in the morning (it’s too sticky for day). Lululemon’s Secret Socks stay put and don’t show above the top of my sneakers, and tank tops are my favorite underpinning. There are essentials, and then there are Essentials — what are yours?

  • I am always amazed/amused at how non-specific my essentials really are in that if I forget or lose one, I can usually find an excellent substitute (often at a nearby drugstore). But I have glasses wipes/cleaners everywhere, water bottles, something to spray on my face (usually either Caudalie or Aura Cacia) , and lip balm (currently a 3 pack from Aldi). Oh, and drops for my dry eyes! I guess I can proudly call myself “low maintenance.”

  • At bedtime I am obsessed with By Terry Baume de Rose lip balm. For my hands at bedtime I use Josie Maran Whipped Argon Oil Intensive Hand Cream followed, after a minute or two, by Savannah Bee Beeswax Hand Cream: the beeswax cream seals in the argon oil, and this combo has been a complete game changer for my dry hands.
