Me too. It’s really the only thing I “need” – I have a real hole when I’m invited for a dinner, book party launch etc. A cool suit with sneakers would be perfection. Can you please find us a few to peruse???
Oh my! Does it get any chicer? Is it Fall yet?
I don’t wear Adidas sneakers but am side eyeing them every time I see a pair lately. Maybe I need a trial run in a pair instead of my go to sneakers of choice which are New Balance 990, Golden Goose and Nike Vapor Max Flyknit. I also like sneakers with dresses and Veronica Heilbrunner has the best sneaker game ever!
I love these looks – so very chic
Loving this chic modern can go anywhere looks….
Suits are so fab and versatile and can always be mixed and matched with other items in the wardrobe for even more options.
Esp loving that beige suit….its now on the Autumn shopping list
Celeste
Yes! Ready to re embrace the suit particularly with sneakers. So chic. The red lip in the first picture is fabulous.
I love suits and own several. I also have been rocking Sambas for 30 years. I certainly will be pairing the 2 together – genius!
As a designer, at Esprit in the 80’s, this was basically our uniform- casual linen suits and Superga sneakers. It started from the top with the owner of the company, Susie Tompkins Buell…..true California casual chic. Can’t beat it. I still dress like this decades later…..
Hello Preston, these are so beautiful. I think the trick to pulling this look off is to make sure the suit is cut narrow; jacket and trousers, and fabric/design is simple. Then you have a very sophisticated modern look
.Anyone know which Adidas sneakers are pictured I can’t seem to find.
Agree with everyone this is a stellar look but I learned a valuable lesson this summer (for me anyway): buy suiting in a colour and material that will transition into your wardrobe the way Celeste mentioned. I bought a Lauren red linen suit at the beginning of the summer, it is beautiful material and looked fantastic but when I tried to work the pieces separately I wasn’t comfortable (colour-phobe here). Somehow the impact felt different as separates so I will stick to my favourite neutrals, like the cream linen short suit from Frame that saw a ton of wear for both top and bottom.
They are Sambas
