Fall!

I am so ready for fall and here’s why: first up, a quick trip to Paris to see the exhibition Trees at the Cartier Foundation — I’ve been obsessing about this show. Then, the film The Goldfinch, based on Donna Tartt’s 2014 Pulitzer Prize winning novel, is out mid-September. While in London mid-October visiting my sister, I’m going to get coffee with Navaz Batliwalla at Prada’s newly opened Marchesi 1824 bakery. And, I’ve already pre-ordered Elizabeth Strout’s upcoming book “Olive Again”, on sale October 15 — the absolute icing on the cake.

  • I wish I’d known about the exhibition, because we just returned from a quick stopover in Paris. Can’t wait for Strout’s new book – Olive is one of the most memorable characters ever written! Have fun in Paris.

  • Oh, I do hope that The Goldfinch (the movie) is good. I’m too chicken to find out. Ha. Happy that Elizabeth Strout has a follow up to Olive Kitteridge. I adored that book. Also really loved Anything Is Possible… which built on My Name is Lucy Barton in a kind of sideways way. Your fall sounds stunningly good, Preston.
